An 8-day, 7-night private Bali itinerary combining Ubud's rice terraces and temples, Nusa Penida's cliff viewpoints and snorkelling, and the Gili Islands' beaches and turtle reefs. Includes private car transfers, fast-boat connections, and a mix of boutique stays and beach resorts.
Day by day
Day 1 — Arrival in Denpasar, Transfer to Ubud Route: Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) → Ubud (approx. 40 km, 1.5–2 hours)
Arrive at Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) in Denpasar and clear immigration - Bali's visa-on-arrival (VOA) for Indian passport holders is IDR 500,000 and can be paid at the airport or pre-purchased online. Your driver meets you at arrivals and drives to Ubud (approx. 1.5-2 hours depending on traffic through Denpasar and Sukawati). Ubud sits at 200 m in Bali's central highlands and is the cultural heart of the island. Check in to your boutique stay, then walk the Campuhan Ridge Walk before dusk - a 2 km paved trail through palm and grass valleys that starts near the Ibah Hotel. Dinner at a Ubud café - the town has strong vegetarian, vegan, and Balinese options.

Important: Indonesian VOA is IDR 500,000 (approx. ₹2,700). Indian passport holders can also apply for e-VOA online before departure. Immigration queues at DPS can be 45-90 minutes in peak season (July-August, December). Arrange your driver's waiting time accordingly. Ubud traffic is heavy between 4-7 PM - plan arrival before 3 PM if possible.
Day 2 — Ubud: Rice Terraces, Temples and Monkey Forest Route: Ubud → Tegallalang → Tirta Empul → Ubud
Full day in and around Ubud. Start early at Tegallalang Rice Terraces (approx. 30 minutes north of Ubud) - the famous stepped terraces are best at 7-8 AM before tour buses arrive. The trail through the terraces is free but local farmers ask for donations (IDR 10,000–25,000) at certain points. Then drive to Tirta Empul (approx. 20 minutes further) - a 10th-century water temple where Balinese Hindus perform melukat (purification) in the spring-fed pools. Visitors can participate if dressed appropriately in a sarong and sash (available for rent at the entrance). Return to Ubud for lunch, then spend the afternoon at the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary - 10 hectares of jungle with 1,200+ long-tailed macaques and three 14th-century temples. Evening free - Ubud has a strong traditional dance scene (Legong and Barong performances at Ubud Palace most nights).

Important: Do not carry food, plastic bags or loose items into the Monkey Forest - macaques grab them. Keep sunglasses and hats secure. Women who are menstruating are traditionally not permitted inside Tirta Empul's inner temple - this is a local religious rule, not a tourism guideline.
Day 3 — Ubud to Sanur, Fast Boat to Nusa Penida Route: Ubud → Sanur Harbour (approx. 45 minutes) → Nusa Penida (fast boat, 45 minutes) → Kelingking → Crystal Bay
Leave Ubud after breakfast and drive to Sanur Harbour (approx. 45 minutes). Fast boats to Nusa Penida depart regularly - the crossing takes about 45 minutes, and boats run from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Boats can be rough in the afternoon - morning crossings are smoother. Arrive at Toyapakeh or Banjar Nyuh harbour on Nusa Penida, then drive to your accommodation (Penida's roads are narrow and bumpy - 4x4s or scooters are the norm). Afternoon visit to Kelingking Beach - the iconic T-Rex-shaped cliff viewpoint on Penida's west coast. The walk down to the beach is steep and takes 45-60 minutes each way; viewing from the top is the standard option. Sunset at Crystal Bay (snorkelling and swimming, weather-permitting).

Important: Fast boat tickets are not included in the package - budget IDR 175,000–250,000 per person each way. Book morning crossings where possible - afternoon boats are rougher. Nusa Penida roads are narrow, poorly surfaced and steep in places - motion sickness tablets are recommended. Kelingking Beach descent is not recommended for those with knee or heart conditions; viewing from the top is the standard option.
Day 4 — Nusa Penida: Diamond Beach, Atuh and Snorkelling Route: Nusa Penida (west/east coast circuit) → Diamond Beach → Atuh Beach → Manta Point snorkelling
Full day exploring Nusa Penida's east and south coasts. Start at Diamond Beach and Atuh Beach on the east coast - Diamond Beach has a steep staircase down to the sand (manageable with reasonable fitness), and Atuh Beach is a quieter, calmer bay nearby. Both viewpoints are exceptional in the morning light. Afternoon: a snorkelling trip to Manta Point (weather and swell permitting) - manta rays are resident year-round in the channel between Nusa Penida and Nusa Ceningan. Other snorkelling stops on standard Penida tours include Crystal Bay, Wall Point and Gamat Bay - expect turtles, reef fish and coral. Return to your hotel by late afternoon. Dinner at a Penida café - options are limited but improving.

Important: Manta Point is exposed to swell - the crossing can be rough and trips are cancelled when conditions are unsafe. Snorkelling gear is usually included in the boat fee (IDR 150,000-250,000 per person). If you can't swim confidently, tell the boat operator upfront - life jackets are available. Nusa Penida's roads make the east-coast circuit a 2–3 hour drive each way; pace yourself.
Day 5 — Nusa Penida to Gili Islands via Padang Bai Route: Nusa Penida → Sanur or Padang Bai (fast boat) → Gili Trawangan or Gili Air (fast boat, 2–2.5 hours)
A travel day. Fast boats from Nusa Penida back to Bali (Sanur) depart through the morning - the crossing takes about 45 minutes. From Sanur or Padang Bai, take a direct fast boat to the Gili Islands (Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno or Gili Air) - the crossing takes 2-2.5 hours depending on sea conditions and stops. Eka Jaya, BlueWater Express, and Gili Getaway are the established operators. Arrive at Gili Trawangan (the largest and busiest of the three) or Gili Air (quieter, more relaxed). Check in to your beach resort. Afternoon at leisure - walk the beach, hire a bicycle, or simply sit at a beach bar. Sunset on the west side of Gili Trawangan is the island's main event.

Important: Fast boat tickets between Nusa Penida, Bali and the Gilis are not included in the package. Budget IDR 350,000-600,000 per person for the full leg. Morning crossings are smoother. The Gilis have no motorised vehicles - transport on the islands is by bicycle (IDR 50,000-100,000 per day), cidomo (horse cart), or on foot. ATMs on Gili Trawangan are limited and often empty - carry cash from Bali.
Day 6 — Gili Islands: Snorkelling, Beaches and Turtle Reefs Route: Gili Trawangan → Gili Meno → Gili Air (snorkelling circuit)
Full day on and around the Gilis. The standard snorkelling circuit visits three spots - Gili Trawangan's Turtle Point (green sea turtles are resident), the underwater statues off Gili Meno (a well-known art installation at 3-5 m depth, popular with divers and snorkellers), and Gili Air's shallow reefs. Trips depart around 10 AM and return by 3-4 PM, with lunch on the boat or on Gili Air. Gear (mask, snorkel, fins) is usually included. Non-snorkellers can hire a glass-bottom boat, or spend the day cycling the flat perimeter road of Gili Trawangan (approx. 7 km, 30 minutes at a relaxed pace). Evening at leisure - Gili Trawangan has a range of beach bars and restaurants on the sunset side.

Important: Snorkelling trips cost IDR 150,000-250,000 per person and are not included in the package. Gili Meno's underwater statues are at 3–5 m - good snorkellers reach them, but divers get the best views. Sea turtles are wild animals - do not touch or chase them. Reef-safe sunscreen is strongly recommended for all snorkelling stops.
Day 7 — Gili Islands to Bali (Sanur or Ubud) Route: Gili Islands → Padang Bai or Sanur (fast boat, 2–2.5 hours) → Bali hotel
Travel day back to Bali. Fast boats from the Gilis to Padang Bai or Sanur depart through the morning - the crossing takes 2-2.5 hours and can be rough in the afternoon, so morning boats are strongly preferred. Arrive at Padang Bai or Sanur, then transfer to your final Bali stay - Sanur is closest and most convenient for the airport the next day, while Ubud or Seminyak are options if you want a final night in a different part of Bali. Afternoon at leisure - this is a rest day after three consecutive boat transfers. Dinner at a beachfront restaurant in Sanur or your final base.

Important: Morning fast boats are much smoother than afternoon departures. If your flight is early the next day, stay in Sanur - the airport is a 20-30 minute drive. Ubud is 1.5 hours from the airport, Seminyak is 45 minutes. Book the boat leg the day before - seats sell out in peak season (July-August, December).
Day 8 — Departure from Bali Route: Bali hotel → Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS)
Check out after breakfast and transfer to Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS). International departures recommend arriving 3 hours before the flight - DPS immigration and security can be slow in peak season. If your flight is later in the day, use the morning for a final walk on Sanur Beach or last-minute shopping at Seminyak (if staying there). Pack liquids in checked luggage - security at DPS is strict about liquids in carry-on. Duty-free shopping is available at the airport but limited.

Best Time to Travel:
April to October is Bali's dry season - the best window for this itinerary. April–June and September–October are the sweet spots: dry, fewer crowds, better hotel rates. July–August is peak season - dry weather but crowded, expensive, and boat seats sell out. December–March is the wet season - frequent afternoon rain, higher swell, and Nusa Penida's Manta Point trips are more likely to be cancelled. December and January are the busiest due to Christmas and New Year.
Suitable For:
Couples, honeymooners, families with children over 8, and travellers who want a mix of culture (Ubud), coastal scenery (Nusa Penida) and beach time (Gili Islands). Not suitable for travellers with limited mobility - Nusa Penida's roads are rough and the beach descents (Kelingking, Diamond) are steep. Not suitable for travellers who get seasick easily - this itinerary includes four fast-boat crossings.
Travel Pace:
Moderate. This is a three-island itinerary with four fast-boat crossings - travel days are long. Ubud's sightseeing days are relaxed (short drives). Nusa Penida and Gili days involve early starts and rough roads. Not a lounging-on-the-beach-only trip - the logistics are real.
Accommodation:
Ubud: boutique hotel or resort (double/twin sharing). Nusa Penida: boutique hotel or resort (basic to mid-range - Penida's infrastructure is less developed than Bali's). Gili Islands: beach resort (double/twin sharing). Sanur/Ubud/Seminyak: hotel or resort for the final night. Upgrades to 5-star properties available on request, but Nusa Penida has limited luxury options.
Transport:
Private AC vehicle for Bali legs (airport pickup, Ubud sightseeing, transfers). Nusa Penida: private car or scooter - Penida's roads are narrow and rough, and driving yourself is only for confident riders. Gili Islands: no motorised vehicles - bicycle, cidomo, or foot only. Fast boats between islands are the standard public transport - book in advance in peak season.
Meals:
Breakfast included on all days (starting Day 2). Lunches and dinners are not included - budget IDR 100,000–250,000 per person per meal. Bali has excellent food options - Balinese, Indonesian, international, vegan. Ubud has a strong café culture. Nusa Penida's options are more limited. The Gilis have beach bars and restaurants on the sunset side. Halal food is widely available in Bali; vegetarian and vegan options are excellent.

Fast boat tickets are not included. Budget IDR 175,000–250,000 per person for Sanur–Penida each way and IDR 350,000-600,000 per person for Sanur/Padang Bai–Gilis each way. Book in advance in peak season.
Carry cash. ATMs in Nusa Penida and the Gili Islands are limited and often empty. Withdraw IDR in Bali (Seminyak, Sanur, Ubud) before heading to the islands.
No motorised vehicles on the Gilis. Transport is by bicycle (IDR 50,000–100,000 per day), cidomo (horse cart), or on foot.
Mobile connectivity: Indonesian SIM cards (Telkomsel, XL) are available at the airport - buy one for cheaper data. Wi-Fi is widely available but slow in Nusa Penida and the Gilis.
Reef-safe sunscreen: Strongly recommended for all snorkelling stops. Standard sunscreen damages coral.
Bali traffic: Ubud and Seminyak traffic can add 30–60 minutes to short drives. Kuta–Ubud takes 1.5–2 hours in peak hours.
Mosquitoes: Dengue is present in Bali, particularly in the wet season. Carry repellent.
Drone flying: Requires permission in some temple areas and near Ngurah Rai Airport. Do not fly without checking local rules.
Seasonal Considerations:
April–June: Dry season, fewer crowds. Best window. Book 4–6 weeks ahead.
July–August: Peak season. Dry but crowded and expensive. Book 8–10 weeks ahead - boat seats and hotels sell out.
September–October: Second sweet spot. Dry, clear, quieter than peak. Best value.
November–March: Wet season. Afternoon rain, higher swell, Manta Point trips often cancelled. Christmas and New Year are still busy despite the rain.

Cancellation & refund policy
Cancellation, Amendment & Refund Policy
1. Booking Confirmation & Advance Payment
A booking shall be considered confirmed only upon receipt of the required advance payment. The company reserves the right to release unconfirmed bookings without prior notice. All payments made towards booking confirmation are subject to the cancellation terms mentioned below.
2. Cancellation Policy
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email or official communication channels. Cancellation charges will be calculated based on the total package cost and the date on which the written cancellation request is received by the company.

3. Non-Refundable Components
The following components shall be strictly non-refundable once confirmed:
- Flight/train tickets (if applicable)
- Visa fees
- Permit charges
- Peak season hotel bookings
- Houseboat bookings during high season
- Adventure/activity tickets
- Any special event or festive season supplement
- Service fees, processing fees, and convenience charges
The company reserves the right to deduct supplier-imposed cancellation charges in addition to the above retention charges wherever applicable.
4. Amendment / Rescheduling Policy
Any amendment, modification, postponement, or rescheduling request must be submitted in writing and shall be subject to availability and supplier approval. The company does not guarantee acceptance of amendment requests after booking confirmation. Any fare difference, seasonal surcharge, hotel rate revision, transport cost escalation, or supplier-imposed amendment fee shall be payable additionally by the client/agent. Amendments requested within 30 days of arrival may be treated as a cancellation and rebooking at the sole discretion of the company.
5. No Show Policy
Failure of the guest/client to arrive, utilize booked services, or join the tour on the scheduled date without prior written intimation shall be treated as a “No Show”.
In such cases:
- 100% of the total booking amount shall be forfeited
- No refund, amendment, or credit note shall be applicable
- Unused services, early departures, or missed sightseeing tours shall not qualify for any refund.
6. Force Majeure / Unforeseen Circumstances
Poise Travel and Tourism shall not be held liable for any cancellation, delay, alteration, loss, or additional expense arising due to circumstances beyond the company’s control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters
- Floods, snowfall, landslides, road blockages
- Political unrest, strikes, curfews
- Flight cancellations or operational disruptions
- Pandemic-related restrictions
- Government orders or travel advisories
Under such circumstances:
- Refunds, if any, shall strictly depend upon recoveries received from hotels, transporters, and other suppliers.
- Administrative, processing, and operational charges shall remain non-refundable.
- The company reserves the absolute right to alter itineraries in the interest of guest safety and operational feasibility.
7. Refund Policy
Eligible refunds, if any, shall be processed within 30–45 working days from the date of cancellation confirmation. Refund timelines are subject to receipt of funds from respective suppliers/vendors. Refunds shall be processed only through the original payment mode unless otherwise agreed in writing. Bank charges, payment gateway fees, foreign exchange fluctuations, and transaction charges shall be deducted from the refundable amount.
8. Pricing & Supplier Protection Clause
All package rates are dynamic and subject to availability at the time of confirmation. In case of sudden supplier tariff revisions, fuel hikes, government taxes, or hotel policy changes, the company reserves the right to revise package pricing prior to final confirmation. Confirmed bookings shall remain protected unless impacted by force majeure or supplier default.
9. Jurisdiction
Any dispute arising in relation to bookings, payments, or services shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts located in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir only.
10. Hotel Damage & Liability Clause
Any loss, damage, breakage, theft, or misuse of hotel/houseboat property caused by guests shall be the sole responsibility of the guest and/or the booking agent. Charges imposed by the hotel/houseboat management for damages, excessive cleaning, missing items, or misconduct must be settled directly by the guest or agent before check-out. Poise Travel and Tourism shall not be held liable for disputes arising between guests and hotel management regarding damages or conduct. The company reserves the right to recover any unpaid damage charges from the booking agent in case the guest departs without settlement.
11. Guest Conduct Policy
Guests are expected to maintain respectful and lawful behavior throughout the tour. Any misconduct including but not limited to:
- Abuse towards staff/drivers/hotel employees
- Illegal activities
- Consumption of prohibited substances
- Damage to public or private property
- Disturbance to other guests
May result in immediate termination of services without any refund. Any fines, penalties, legal consequences, or damages arising due to guest behavior shall be borne entirely by the guest and/or (b2b) booking agent. The company reserves the right to deny services to intoxicated, abusive, or disruptive guests if deemed necessary for operational safety.
12. Payment Default Clause
All payments must be cleared within the agreed timeline prior to guest arrival unless otherwise approved in writing. Failure to clear pending dues may result in:
- Release of hotel bookings
- Suspension of services
- Denial of check-in/check-out assistance
- Cancellation of transport arrangements without further liability on the company.
In case of delayed payments:
- The company reserves the right to levy interest/late payment charges.
- Any supplier penalties arising due to delayed payment shall be recoverable from the booking agent/client.
- Vouchers and confirmations issued prior to full payment shall remain provisional until payment realization.
13. Peak Season / Blackout Cancellation Policy
The following periods shall be treated as Peak Season / Blackout Dates:
- Christmas & New Year
- Eid Holidays
- Long weekends
- National holidays
- Heavy snowfall periods
- Festival dates
- Any dates specifically notified by the company
During these periods:
- Hotel bookings, transport services, and houseboats may carry stricter cancellation terms imposed by suppliers.
- Certain bookings may become completely non-refundable immediately after confirmation.
- Advance payments during blackout periods may be non-transferable and non-adjustable.
- The company reserves the right to apply special cancellation policies for peak dates irrespective of the standard cancellation policy mentioned above.
14. Kashmir Weather / Snowfall Disclaimer
Kashmir is a weather-sensitive destination and operations may be affected due to:
- Snowfall
- Landslides
- Road closures
- Avalanches
- Traffic restrictions
- Flight disruptions
- Government-imposed movement restrictions
Poise Travel and Tourism shall not be responsible for:
- Non-availability of sightseeing
- Gondola closure
- Missed flights/trains
- Route diversions
- Hotel changes caused by weather conditions
- Delay or cancellation of activities due to snowfall or road blockage
Additional expenses arising due to:
- Extra hotel nights
- Alternative transport
- Route changes
- Vehicle chain charges during snow
- Flight rescheduling
Shall be borne directly by the guest/client. No refund shall be applicable for unused services caused due to weather conditions or government restrictions beyond operational control.
15. Supplier Substitution Clause
In case any confirmed hotel, houseboat, or transport provider becomes unavailable due to operational reasons, overbooking, weather conditions, maintenance, or force majeure, the company reserves the right to provide a similar category alternative without prior liability. Every effort shall be made to maintain service standards and comfort levels.
16. B2B Confidentiality Clause
All contracted rates, quotations, and pricing shared with agents/partners are strictly confidential and intended solely for B2B business use. Redistribution of net rates directly to suppliers, competitors, or unauthorized third parties is strictly prohibited. The company reserves the right to terminate business relationships in case of rate misuse or breach of confidentiality.
