How to Reach Kashmir from Kolkata
By Air
Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport (CCU) has direct flights to Srinagar (SXR) and one-stop flights through Delhi; flying time is roughly 3½ to 4 hours, longer with a layover.
By Train
Trains from Howrah reach Jammu Tawi in about 30 hours. From Jammu it is about 8 hours by road to Srinagar on NH-44, or you can continue by train to Katra and take the Katra–Srinagar line into the valley.
By Road
About 2,200 km, or around 38 hours of driving, via Varanasi, Lucknow, Delhi and Jammu. Flying saves at least two days each way.
