Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 2026
1. About These Terms
These terms govern your use of this website and any booking made with Poise Travel & Tourism, whose registered office is at Khatija Complex, Sekidaffer, Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir 190002. By making an enquiry or a booking you accept them.
2. Bookings and Payment
A booking is confirmed only once we have issued a written confirmation and received the agreed advance. Prices shown on this site are indicative and may change until a booking is confirmed, since they depend on availability, season and third-party rates for hotels, houseboats, permits and transport.
The balance is payable before the start of travel unless your confirmation states otherwise. We do not store card details.
3. Itinerary Changes and Conditions in the Region
Travel in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh is subject to weather, road conditions, altitude, and decisions of the civil and military authorities. Passes may close, flights may be cancelled and permits may be withheld at short notice, none of which is within our control.
Where this happens we will offer the nearest reasonable alternative — a revised route, substitute accommodation of a comparable standard, or a rescheduled date. Costs arising from such disruption, including additional nights or transport, may be passed on at cost.
4. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellations are governed by our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
5. Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for carrying valid identification and any permits we advise, for holding travel and medical insurance appropriate to your itinerary, and for declaring medical conditions relevant to high-altitude travel. Certain journeys, including the Amarnath Yatra, require a health certificate from an authorised hospital.
You are responsible for arriving at the times given in your itinerary. We cannot refund services missed as a result of late arrival.
6. Third-Party Services
Hotels, houseboats, airlines, helicopter operators and transport providers are independent suppliers. We select them with care and remain your point of contact, but their own terms apply to the services they provide.
7. Liability
We are liable for the services we ourselves provide. We are not liable for loss or disruption caused by events outside our reasonable control, including weather, natural events, strikes, civil disturbance, or acts of government. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
8. Content and Images
Text, photographs and itineraries on this site belong to Poise Travel & Tourism or are used with permission, and may not be reproduced without written consent.
9. Privacy
Details you submit through our enquiry forms are handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir.
