January brings snowfall to the higher hill stations - Patnitop, Nathatop and Sanasar — making it the best month for a winter-landscape trip. April to June is hot in the city but still workable if you're heading straight to the hill stations."

"Jammu Airport has direct flights from Delhi, Mumbai and other major cities. Jammu Tawi railway station is well connected, including direct trains from Delhi. By road, Jammu sits on NH-44, roughly 8 to 10 hours from Srinagar and a common overland link point for a combined Jammu–Kashmir trip."
