A 5-day, 4-night private Thailand family tour pairing Bangkok's temples, river life and safari world with Pattaya's beaches and coral islands. Day by day
Day 1 — Arrival in Bangkok, Evening at Asiatique Route: Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) or Don Mueang (DMK) → Bangkok city (approx. 30-40 km, 45-60 minutes)
Arrive at Suvarnabhumi (BKK) or Don Mueang (DMK) and clear immigration - Indian passport holders get visa-free entry to Thailand for up to 60 days. Your driver meets you at arrivals and drives to your hotel in the Sukhumvit or Silom area (45-60 minutes depending on traffic - Bangkok traffic is genuinely heavy between 4-8 PM). Check in and let the family rest for an hour. In the evening, take a taxi or Grab to Asiatique The Riverfront - an open-air night market and entertainment complex on the Chao Phraya River with a Ferris wheel, restaurants, and shops. Children enjoy the Ferris wheel and the riverside setting; parents enjoy the food and atmosphere. Dinner at one of Asiatique's many restaurants - Thai, Indian, Chinese, Western, and fast food all available. Return to your hotel by 10 PM. This is a soft landing day - Bangkok is hot and humid year-round, and the flight plus immigration takes energy.

Important: Bangkok has two airports - Suvarnabhumi (BKK, main international) and Don Mueang (DMK, low-cost carriers). Confirm your arrival airport at booking - the transfer time and driver pickup point differ. Thai immigration queues can take 45-90 minutes in peak season. Thailand is visa-free for Indian passport holders for up to 60 days - no advance application required. Children need their own passports with at least 6 months validity. For a family of 4+, we use an SUV or a Toyota Innova-sized vehicle - confirm vehicle size at booking if travelling with more than 4.
Day 2 — Bangkok Temples and Safari World Route: Bangkok → Grand Palace → Wat Pho → Safari World → Bangkok
Start early - 8 AM - to beat the heat and crowds at the Grand Palace (entry THB 500 per person). The Grand Palace complex includes Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha), Thailand's most sacred temple. Dress code is strict - shoulders and knees covered, no sarongs over trousers, no flip-flops. Next, walk to Wat Pho (entry THB 200 per person) - the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, with a 46 m gold-leaf Buddha and Thailand's most famous massage school. Lunch at a riverside restaurant. Afternoon: Safari World (approx. 45 minutes from central Bangkok) - Thailand's largest open zoo and safari park, with a drive-through safari, dolphin show, sea lion show, bird show and orangutan boxing show. Tickets are approximately THB 1,000-1,500 per person depending on package - Safari World is a full afternoon and a strong favourite with children. Return to your hotel by evening. Dinner at the hotel or a nearby restaurant.

Important: Grand Palace has a strict dress code - shoulders and knees covered for both men and women, no sarongs over trousers, no flip-flops. Sarongs are available for rent at the entrance but queues are long. Wat Pho is the best place in Thailand for a traditional Thai massage - the on-site school charges THB 420-480 per hour. Safari World is a 45-minute drive from central Bangkok and requires half a day - do not try to combine it with more temples in the same afternoon. Tickets are not included in the package - book online in advance for discounts.
Day 3 — Bangkok to Pattaya, Beach Evening Route: Bangkok → Pattaya (approx. 150 km, 2–2.5 hours) → Pattaya Beach Road or Jomtien
A slower morning - breakfast, then check out and drive to Pattaya (2-2.5 hours on the Bangkok-Chonburi motorway). Pattaya is Thailand's most popular beach resort town - long Beach Road, quieter Jomtien side, and easy access to Coral Island. Check in to your beach hotel, then walk the beach or swim in the pool. Afternoon at leisure - Pattaya has plenty of family-friendly activities: miniature golf, Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum, Underwater World aquarium, and Art in Paradise 3D museum. Evening: dinner at a beachfront seafood restaurant on the Jomtien side. Pattaya's nightlife is famous (Walking Street), but for families the beachfront and Jomtien restaurants are the better call.

Important: Bangkok–Pattaya motorway traffic can add 45–60 minutes on weekends and holidays - plan the drive for late morning. Pattaya has a reputation for nightlife, but for families the Jomtien side is quieter and more relaxed. Walking Street is not for children - it's loud, crowded, and dominated by bars. Underwater World, Art in Paradise, and Ripley's are family-friendly indoor options if the weather is too hot or rainy.
Day 4 — Pattaya: Coral Island Tour and Alcazar Show Route: Pattaya → Coral Island (Koh Larn) → Pattaya
Full day on and around Pattaya. Morning: speedboat to Coral Island (Koh Larn) - a 45-minute ride from Pattaya's Bali Hai Pier. The island has six main beaches; Tawaen and Samae are the most popular, with clear water, snorkelling, jet skis, and parasailing. Most tours include a stop at a viewing platform for coral (glass-bottom boat), lunch on the island, and free time on the beach. Tours cost approximately THB 1,200-1,800 per person depending on inclusions. Children should be comfortable in the water - life jackets are mandatory. Return to Pattaya by late afternoon. Evening: the Alcazar Cabaret Show - Pattaya's most famous ladyboy cabaret, a 75-minute performance with elaborate costumes and choreography (tickets THB 800-1,200 per person, book in advance). This is a genuinely entertaining show - most families rate it highly, though it's more suitable for children 8+. Dinner at a Pattaya restaurant.

Important: Coral Island speedboat rides can be rough in monsoon (May–October) - morning departures are smoother. Water activities are not included - budget THB 500-1,500 per activity. The Alcazar Show sells out most evenings - book at least 24 hours ahead. The Alcazar Show is suitable for children 8+ - younger children may not enjoy the 75-minute performance. Life jackets are mandatory for all ages on the Coral Island boat trip.
Day 5 — Pattaya to Bangkok, Departure Route: Pattaya → Bangkok (2–2.5 hours) → Suvarnabhumi (BKK) or Don Mueang (DMK)
Check out after breakfast and drive back to Bangkok. If your international flight is in the afternoon or evening, add a stop at one of Bangkok's shopping malls - Siam Paragon, CentralWorld, or Terminal 21 - for last-minute shopping and lunch. Chatuchak Weekend Market (only open Saturday and Sunday) is worth a stop if your departure aligns. Then transfer to Suvarnabhumi (BKK) or Don Mueang (DMK) for your flight. International departures recommend arriving 3 hours before the flight - BKK immigration and security can be slow in peak season. With children and luggage, 3 hours is the minimum. Pack liquids in checked luggage.

Modest clothing for temples - shoulders and knees covered. One light layer for air-conditioned restaurants and malls. Rain jacket or umbrella (monsoon season).
Footwear: Comfortable walking shoes for the Bangkok temple tour (a full day on stone and marble surfaces). Sandals or flip-flops for Pattaya beaches. Note: flip-flops are not allowed at the Grand Palace - wear proper shoes there.
Travel Essentials: Sunscreen SPF 50+, insect repellent (mosquitoes in Bangkok and Pattaya, especially at night), sunglasses, power bank, universal adapter (Thailand uses Type A/B/C, 220V - same as India in many cases), basic medicines including children's fever and stomach medicine, reusable water bottles, small towel or sarong for beaches, snacks for children.

Best Time to Travel:
November to February is the best window for this itinerary - Thailand's cool dry season, with lower humidity, clear skies, and calm seas at Coral Island. December and January are peak - book 6-8 weeks ahead for Bangkok and Pattaya hotels. March to May is hot season - Bangkok regularly hits 35-40°C, and Pattaya is humid. June to October is monsoon - Bangkok sees afternoon downpours, and Coral Island speedboat rides can be rough or cancelled. This is a compact itinerary, so a 5-day monsoon window is riskier than for longer Thailand trips. Songkran (Thai New Year, mid-April) is a country-wide water festival - fun but crowded, and many businesses close.
Suitable For:
Families with children aged 5+ who want a mix of city, zoo, beach, and theme park. Multi-generational groups (grandparents welcome - the pacing allows rest). Not suitable for travellers who want pure beach time (Bangkok is a full two-day stop), or who want Phuket, Krabi, or Chiang Mai - those are separate itineraries. If your children are under 5, the itinerary works but you'll skip some activities (Alcazar Show for under-8s, some theme park rides have height restrictions).

Transport:

Bangkok-Pattaya transfers are 2-2.5 hours by road. For Bangkok intra-city trips beyond the included tour, use Grab or the BTS Skytrain - faster and cheaper than taxis during peak hours.
Meals:
Breakfast included on all days. Lunches and dinners are not included - budget THB 200-800 per person per meal depending on the restaurant. Bangkok has some of the best street food in the world (Pad Thai, Som Tam, Mango Sticky Rice) at THB 50-100 per dish, alongside fine dining. Pattaya is strong on seafood, Indian restaurants, and beachfront family dining. Thai food is generally mild to spicy - tell the server "mai phet" (not spicy) if your family prefers. Vegetarian and Jain food is available at Indian restaurants throughout Bangkok and Pattaya. Children's menus are widely available at malls and hotels.

Currency: Thai Baht (THB). ATMs are widely available at BKK, DMK, in Bangkok and Pattaya. Cards are accepted at hotels, malls and larger restaurants; street food and smaller shops are cash-only.
SIM card: Local SIMs (AIS, TrueMove, dtac) are available at BKK and DMK on arrival - approximately THB 200-400 for a tourist SIM with 7-15 days validity.
Tipping: Not mandatory but appreciated. 10% service charge is already included at most restaurants. For drivers and guides, THB 100-300 per day is standard.

Pattaya family-friendliness: Pattaya has a reputation for nightlife, but the Jomtien side, Coral Island, and the family attractions (Underwater World, Art in Paradise, Ripley's) are all family-safe. Walking Street is not recommended for children.
Honeymoon perks: Not applicable. But many Thai hotels offer family perks (adjoining rooms, children's amenities, kids' club) if told in advance - we share your booking as a family at the time of reservation.

Cancellation & refund policy
Cancellation, Amendment & Refund Policy
1. Booking Confirmation & Advance Payment
A booking shall be considered confirmed only upon receipt of the required advance payment. The company reserves the right to release unconfirmed bookings without prior notice. All payments made towards booking confirmation are subject to the cancellation terms mentioned below.
2. Cancellation Policy
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email or official communication channels. Cancellation charges will be calculated based on the total package cost and the date on which the written cancellation request is received by the company.

3. Non-Refundable Components
The following components shall be strictly non-refundable once confirmed:
- Flight/train tickets (if applicable)
- Visa fees
- Permit charges
- Peak season hotel bookings
- Houseboat bookings during high season
- Adventure/activity tickets
- Any special event or festive season supplement
- Service fees, processing fees, and convenience charges
The company reserves the right to deduct supplier-imposed cancellation charges in addition to the above retention charges wherever applicable.
4. Amendment / Rescheduling Policy
Any amendment, modification, postponement, or rescheduling request must be submitted in writing and shall be subject to availability and supplier approval. The company does not guarantee acceptance of amendment requests after booking confirmation. Any fare difference, seasonal surcharge, hotel rate revision, transport cost escalation, or supplier-imposed amendment fee shall be payable additionally by the client/agent. Amendments requested within 30 days of arrival may be treated as a cancellation and rebooking at the sole discretion of the company.
5. No Show Policy
Failure of the guest/client to arrive, utilize booked services, or join the tour on the scheduled date without prior written intimation shall be treated as a “No Show”.
In such cases:
- 100% of the total booking amount shall be forfeited
- No refund, amendment, or credit note shall be applicable
- Unused services, early departures, or missed sightseeing tours shall not qualify for any refund.
6. Force Majeure / Unforeseen Circumstances
Poise Travel and Tourism shall not be held liable for any cancellation, delay, alteration, loss, or additional expense arising due to circumstances beyond the company’s control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters
- Floods, snowfall, landslides, road blockages
- Political unrest, strikes, curfews
- Flight cancellations or operational disruptions
- Pandemic-related restrictions
- Government orders or travel advisories
Under such circumstances:
- Refunds, if any, shall strictly depend upon recoveries received from hotels, transporters, and other suppliers.
- Administrative, processing, and operational charges shall remain non-refundable.
- The company reserves the absolute right to alter itineraries in the interest of guest safety and operational feasibility.
7. Refund Policy
Eligible refunds, if any, shall be processed within 30–45 working days from the date of cancellation confirmation. Refund timelines are subject to receipt of funds from respective suppliers/vendors. Refunds shall be processed only through the original payment mode unless otherwise agreed in writing. Bank charges, payment gateway fees, foreign exchange fluctuations, and transaction charges shall be deducted from the refundable amount.
8. Pricing & Supplier Protection Clause
All package rates are dynamic and subject to availability at the time of confirmation. In case of sudden supplier tariff revisions, fuel hikes, government taxes, or hotel policy changes, the company reserves the right to revise package pricing prior to final confirmation. Confirmed bookings shall remain protected unless impacted by force majeure or supplier default.
9. Jurisdiction
Any dispute arising in relation to bookings, payments, or services shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts located in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir only.
10. Hotel Damage & Liability Clause
Any loss, damage, breakage, theft, or misuse of hotel/houseboat property caused by guests shall be the sole responsibility of the guest and/or the booking agent. Charges imposed by the hotel/houseboat management for damages, excessive cleaning, missing items, or misconduct must be settled directly by the guest or agent before check-out. Poise Travel and Tourism shall not be held liable for disputes arising between guests and hotel management regarding damages or conduct. The company reserves the right to recover any unpaid damage charges from the booking agent in case the guest departs without settlement.
11. Guest Conduct Policy
Guests are expected to maintain respectful and lawful behavior throughout the tour. Any misconduct including but not limited to:
- Abuse towards staff/drivers/hotel employees
- Illegal activities
- Consumption of prohibited substances
- Damage to public or private property
- Disturbance to other guests
May result in immediate termination of services without any refund. Any fines, penalties, legal consequences, or damages arising due to guest behavior shall be borne entirely by the guest and/or (b2b) booking agent. The company reserves the right to deny services to intoxicated, abusive, or disruptive guests if deemed necessary for operational safety.
12. Payment Default Clause
All payments must be cleared within the agreed timeline prior to guest arrival unless otherwise approved in writing. Failure to clear pending dues may result in:
- Release of hotel bookings
- Suspension of services
- Denial of check-in/check-out assistance
- Cancellation of transport arrangements without further liability on the company.
In case of delayed payments:
- The company reserves the right to levy interest/late payment charges.
- Any supplier penalties arising due to delayed payment shall be recoverable from the booking agent/client.
- Vouchers and confirmations issued prior to full payment shall remain provisional until payment realization.
13. Peak Season / Blackout Cancellation Policy
The following periods shall be treated as Peak Season / Blackout Dates:
- Christmas & New Year
- Eid Holidays
- Long weekends
- National holidays
- Heavy snowfall periods
- Festival dates
- Any dates specifically notified by the company
During these periods:
- Hotel bookings, transport services, and houseboats may carry stricter cancellation terms imposed by suppliers.
- Certain bookings may become completely non-refundable immediately after confirmation.
- Advance payments during blackout periods may be non-transferable and non-adjustable.
- The company reserves the right to apply special cancellation policies for peak dates irrespective of the standard cancellation policy mentioned above.
14. Kashmir Weather / Snowfall Disclaimer
Kashmir is a weather-sensitive destination and operations may be affected due to:
- Snowfall
- Landslides
- Road closures
- Avalanches
- Traffic restrictions
- Flight disruptions
- Government-imposed movement restrictions
Poise Travel and Tourism shall not be responsible for:
- Non-availability of sightseeing
- Gondola closure
- Missed flights/trains
- Route diversions
- Hotel changes caused by weather conditions
- Delay or cancellation of activities due to snowfall or road blockage
Additional expenses arising due to:
- Extra hotel nights
- Alternative transport
- Route changes
- Vehicle chain charges during snow
- Flight rescheduling
Shall be borne directly by the guest/client. No refund shall be applicable for unused services caused due to weather conditions or government restrictions beyond operational control.
15. Supplier Substitution Clause
In case any confirmed hotel, houseboat, or transport provider becomes unavailable due to operational reasons, overbooking, weather conditions, maintenance, or force majeure, the company reserves the right to provide a similar category alternative without prior liability. Every effort shall be made to maintain service standards and comfort levels.
16. B2B Confidentiality Clause
All contracted rates, quotations, and pricing shared with agents/partners are strictly confidential and intended solely for B2B business use. Redistribution of net rates directly to suppliers, competitors, or unauthorized third parties is strictly prohibited. The company reserves the right to terminate business relationships in case of rate misuse or breach of confidentiality.

"No - Indian passport holders get visa-free entry to Thailand for up to 60 days. No advance application or fee is required. The Coral Island tour includes a speedboat from Bali Hai Pier, a glass-bottom boat stop, lunch on the island, and free beach time at Tawaen and Samae beaches. Life jackets are mandatory for all ages. Optional water activities (parasailing, jet ski, snorkelling, banana boat) cost THB 500-1,500 each and are payable directly on the island - check age restrictions for each activity. Speedboat rides can be rough in monsoon (May-October)."
"Yes - Pattaya is two very different places. The Walking Street side is loud, crowded, and bar-dominated - not for children. The Jomtien Beach side, Coral Island, and the family attractions (Underwater World, Art in Paradise, Ripley's Believe It or Not, Miniature Golf) are all family-safe. Most families on this itinerary stay on the Jomtien side and skip Walking Street entirely. If you want a quieter beach destination, we can swap Pattaya for Hua Hin - tell us at booking."
